Step 1: Gather the Documentation Required for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Create your FSA ID and review a full list of required documents by visiting .

Step 2: Submit the FAFSA

Visit to complete the FAFSA. Enter Roosevelt’s six-digit Federal School Code (001749) to ensure the University receives your FAFSA information. 

Important Note: Some students may be selected for verification by the United States Department of Education and additional forms or documents may be required. A list of additional requirements can be found in RU Access.

Step 3: Explore Your Ƶ Financial Aid Award Letter

A student’s financial aid package consists of a combination of federal, state and Ƶ aid. This aid will include any available scholarships, grants, student employment opportunities, and loans that you may be eligible to receive. Your award letter will be provided by mail via the United States Postal Service and may be viewed in . We encourage you to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a financial aid services counselor to further discuss your aid package.

Step 4: Accept Your Financial Aid Awards at Ƶ

To accept your award package and the “Terms and Conditions,” complete the following steps:

  • Log-in to and select Financial Aid Services from the Main Menu. Then select Award Offered on Financial Aid Menu.
  • At the Award Offer Menu, select Award Year, and select the appropriate school year.
  • Scroll down and to the right of each award click SELECT. Either Accept or Decline the offered award each award. Then click SUBMIT.
  • A pop-out of Terms and Conditions will appear. At the bottom of the page CHECK “I acknowledge these terms and conditions” and CLICK the Accept Award button.

Step 5: Complete Entrance Counseling and Sign Direct Loan Master Promissory Note

Any students borrowing federal student loans are required by the United States Department of Education to complete entrance counseling and sign a Master Promissory Note. Visit for additional instructions

Payment Arrangements and Financial Clearance

Perhaps the most important step in securing your seat as a new student at Roosevelt is making payment arrangements after registering for courses and reviewing your financial aid package.

  • Fall payment arrangements due: July 31
  • Spring payment arrangements due: December 15

Step 1: View Your Electronic Bill

Visit and complete the following steps in order to view your electronic bill.

  • Log in to RU Access and select the Registration and Other Student Services tab, then click Tuition and Fees.
  • Select Make a Payment and click Connect to Bill + Payment System.

Step 2: Review and Select Payment Plan Options

Visit roosevelt.edu/paymybill to explore and select a payment option. Payment options include payment in full, monthly payment plans, as well as employer-based tuition reimbursement.
