Loans

Loans are borrowed from either the government or a private entity to finance expenses directly related to the cost of your education. This money must be repaid and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined by the lender. Students are encouraged to carefully consider all financial aid options before borrowing.

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans

These loans are not based upon financial need and allow pharmacy students to borrow up to $33,000 per year of study, minus the amount of any other financial aid. Interest accrues from the date of disbursement; however, this interest may be paid while enrolled in courses.

Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans

These loans allow credit-worthy graduate students to borrow up to their full-cost of attendance, minus the amount of any other financial aid. This loan is available to students who have exhausted the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. Interest accrues from the date of disbursement.

Work-Study and Professional Employment

Many Pharmacy students take advantage of on- and off-campus employment opportunities. These opportunities allow students to earn money while gaining professional experience. Examples of these positions include pharmacy peer tutor, peer mentor and pharmacy intern.
