The Joan Deutsch Herczeg Scholars Program empowers individuals of all gender identities to be allies of women in leadership positions, and to champion initiatives to close the gender gap for female leaders. Scholars participate in experiential learning opportunities, gain mentorship and build a professional network beyond ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ.
Deutsch Herczeg Scholars are awarded with a one-time scholarship of $5,000.
Deutsch Herczeg Scholars participate in educational and inspiring opportunities giving them tools and knowledge required to lead in their communities and industry.

The Joan Deutsch Herczeg Scholars Program is open to individuals of all gender identities (female, male, non-binary). Candidates shall seek to be allies of women in leadership positions, and champion initiatives to close the gender gap for female leaders.
Roosevelt students must meet all eligibility requirements and complete the application in full by the deadline to be considered.
Eligibility requirements:
7 - 10 scholars will be selected to participate in the cohort-focused program.
Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and display a commitment to their leadership growth as evaluated in their application.
Scholars are expected to participate in mentorship opportunities, attend program events, and be willing to consider a summer internship.
In order to apply for the scholarship, submit a resume and address two essay prompts in 600 words or less. A student's academic background will also be considered.
